Sunday 11th May Salute is now a fading memory but I still have a wealth of photos for our feature article in issue 4 of WPM. This round up of the games on display promises to be a visual treat. The PDF will contain hyperlinks to full resolution images so you ca see the great details that were packed into the games.
I have also been able to get hold of some of the new Imperial Romans from Warlord Games and these will be making an appearance in the review section of issue 4, along with some of the new Bolt Action Miniatures US Paratroopers.
Finally in other news I have been able to finish the "donations" page. In the fiture I hope to be able to implement a "supporters" feature where by contributers to the magazine (be it by writing or donation) will see some benefit from their actions.
Saturday 12th April 2008 Issue 4 is taking shape and will be with you in about a month or so. We will be including a full rundown of the demo games at Salute 2008 as well as the usual fare of painting guides. We will also be reviewing some Darkson Designs AEWWII figures as well as the new Perry ACW plastics.
I am also working on a new layout that is more clean and crisp than the previous issues. Hopefully this will make it easier to read and navigate.
Monday 11th February 2008 WP&M issue 3 has been reviewed in episode 27 of Meeples and Miniatures, a rather grand online podcast dedicated to all things gaming.
Tuesday 15th January 2008 The issue 3 PDF's have all now been updated with hyperlinks that work and a small mistake in the Centauri article has been corrected.
Monday 14th January 2008 Issue 3 of Wargames Painting and Modelling is now available to Download.
Issue 3 is available in 3 versions. There is the usual high quality PDF and low quality PDF. This time around however I have released a third "printer friendly" PDF that has all of the colourful backgrounds removed, making the article less of a strain on your colour ink cartridge.
Also don't forget to subscribe (for free) if you want to recieve an e-mail newsletter telling you about updates and releases at WP&M.
May your brushes always be pointy,
Dave
I have just realised that none of the hyperlinks in the current PDF's appear to work, this will be updated Monday evening - this has now been corrected.

Friday 7th December 2007 The site has gone live tonight.
I apologise for only having 2 pages ready but the downloads are all there along with news of Issue 3.
Monday 3rd December 2007 Work continues on issue three although a few areas have ground to a halt due to my lack of internet communication... I have some very important pictures awaiting me in my email account that I cannot access right now.
From the previews I have posted of issue 3 those with eagle eyes will have noticed that I have changed the orientation of the page for issue 3 (and previously in the 2 specials).
Firstly the lanscape page fits better on a computer monitor. You can view the whole page and still have readable text. Secondly it gives the impression of a double page spread without having a page break in the middle.
The change to landscape has also meant a change in my thinking and design. As strangly it seems harder to fill out a landscape page and balance it that a normal portrait page.
Hopefully it will all have been worth it though...
